GRAHAM, Peter (1939- )
Active in San Francisco fandom (1954- ), then in New York (c.1960-64),
then pretty well permanently gafiated. If you want evidence,
you'll have to look elsewhere!Colleague and coworker with Ron Ellik,
Terry Carr, Boob Stewart (unheard of since late 1950s), Dave Rike
(who seems to have returned) and, of course, Carl Brandon.
First contact: Helen (Shorty) Vasquez and the Elves, Gnomes and Little
Men's Chowder and Marching Society, and the GGFS
(Golden Gate Futurian Society), about 1950. Yes, age 11.
The latter two groups were sercon as hell and I left them
quickly for fanzine fandom and Terry Carr, bosom high
school friend.
First con: Westercon, Los Angeles, 1950? Ray Bradbury GOH. First
national con: SFCon 1952, as I recall. Wrote it up for
three successive issues of PSYCHOTIC (Geis).
Fanzines: Vulcan, Looking Backward, Isomer, Void, many others esp.
for FAPA. One-shots too numerous to mention. Proud of
role in Incompleat Burbee, which included rerunning
numerous pages because we did one half-sheet out of order.
